Description:
Our space, including my house and our organization's studio, currently runs on four solar panels and 8 batteries. These panels have been a blessing, allowing us to power our operations and stay connected to the world when Haiti’s local cellular services remain inconsistent. However, we face power challenges. Cloudy days often cause power disruptions and make it difficult to maintain consistent operations, hindering our ability to serve effectively."Our solar power powers our Starlink internet, which has been a lifeline, especially with the increasing issues faced by Haiti's internet providers due to a lack of gas. Our Starlink internet not only allows me to work online for the nonprofit needs but also enables a young woman in our community to attend an online university. That's why we're launching a fundraiser. We're seeking to raise funds for two additional solar panels, which will provide us with 24/7 power, even during cloudy days of rainy season. Furthermore, these panels will enable us to run an additional freezer. This is crucial because we only receive meat shipments once every few months, due to the dangers posed by gang violence on the road between us and the capital. With a freezer, we can buy meat in bulk and store it safely, ensuring that we have a steady supply, even during times of scarcity. We're looking to raise $800 for the deep freezer and two new solar panels. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on our ability to serve our community and continue our mission in Haiti.
