What is a Giving Page, and how do I use it?

A giving page is a way for people who want to help support a different person/organization's online fundraiser in their own unique way.

For example, John wants to help raise money for the organization Foundation for Hope in Africa. In order to do that, John will go to the Foundation for Hope in Africa and click the Create Giving Page button.

After John has created his giving page, he tells his friends to go there and donate money. All money they donate goes directly to Foundation for Hope in Africa (not John).

How do I know who a giving page is for?

On top of any giving page, right under the pages name, it says what page the giving page is created for. Be sure you know what page a giving page is for before you donate to it! Also, a giving page will get its certificates from its parent. So if Foundation for Hope in Africa is IRS certified, make sure any giving page you give to on their behalf is IRS certified.
