Description:
After living in Haiti full-time for over six years, the Lord showed us a way to set down roots and build a mission home and space for our job creation programs and weekly Bible study groups. The very same day I shared this vision, we raised above the needed amount to purchase the land. I flew back into Haiti and in just four days found the land and 2 days later it legally became ours. Only God could have orchestrated this.
The $8,000 raised allowed us to purchase land, close on the property, build a cactus privacy and security fence and clear the brush off the land so it is ready to build on. This was Phase 1. We knew there was an immediate need to dig a 120ft well to reach clean drinking and shower water before dry season ended in March, by mid February the $6000 need was met and we begun to dig. This well will provide clean, drinkable water straight from the tap, ensuring a sustainable water source for years to come. We launched a Birthday Campaign for our Founder, Angelica, in February that would allow us to do the septic system and purchase a water pump. Phase 2 is now complete!
Our next step is Phase 3: Laying the Foundation—a crucial step in bringing this project to life. The cost to complete this phase is estimated between $10,000 and $12,000.
In Haiti, laying a solid foundation requires:
• Concrete blocks and rebar for structural integrity
• Cement and gravel to reinforce stability
• Labor and skilled masonry work to ensure durability
• Waterproofing materials to protect against erosion and weather conditions
This foundation isn’t just about building—it’s about creating a lasting impact, providing a secure base for the work ahead. Every contribution brings us one step closer to making this a reality!
If you'd like to come alongside us as we set roots and bring this vision to life as we start to raise money for the foundation, your support will make a lasting impact on this journey.
