UPDATE: rice and bean sacks have been funded for the 5 original women. When I told one of the ladies who is helping to distribute the food, she told me she is sharing her bag of rice with 4 neighbors. For $240 more dollars we can gift each of her neighbors the same gift so she keeps hers for her family. This is one of the reason I will forever advocate for these Haitian women. You give them a blessing and they bless their neighbors. Exactly what the Bible tells us to do! I am extending the total amount needed to include these four other families! 

With the devastating take over of a shipping Port in Haiti's capital yesterday by gangs and weeks worth of imports stolen, we want to be proactive and ensure the women we work alongside have the means to feed their families during an inevitable food shortage in the coming weeks. Much of Haiti only has enough finances to purchase food for a few days at a time, so stock piling food for anticipated times like these is not a privledge many have. We are hoping these sacks of rice and beans not only fill bellies but provide strength to carry on despite ongoing hardships in Haiti. Help us provide these 5 women with the means to sustain their families by donating $50 for a sack of rice, $10 for a sack of beans, or $60 to gift both!
