Hello ! My name is Tina green I am the founder for a non-profit named (BridgingHeart). And I deal with youth between ages 18 -24 that aged out foster care system. I myself am a survivor of the foster care system and sex trafficking my goal with my foundation It's to provide safe housing so that we give them my opportunity to figure out their next steps in life I have people that have partnered with my foundation such as mental health, education, job placement and medical. But from my personal experience people would resource me during the day but did not give me a safe place at night and that's when trouble found me even though I have the resources my heart is still heavy because I feel like I'm one of those people that I don't want to be. As far as resourcing these youth and not giving them safe housing had I had safe housing after emancipation I would have never ended up in sex trafficking my goal is to provide the youth with the resources for those years that they are in the house and when they go out the other side they can go off to college or whatever their goal in life would be but me and my resources would be there to help them I have received Money towards my goal from places like Walmart Starbucks and a family owned neighborhood business call Berna moving company. Most days I'm feel like I'm doing really good with my mission and I love the people that have partner with me but I still feel a little empty because I haven't reached my ultimate goal which is providing safe housing if there is any way that you can help me or walk me through some kind of process that will get me where I'm trying to go ,would be so much appreciated I'm a little lost when it comes to this part. But let me say that I am not trying to recreate the wheel I'm just trying to fix where I see it is broken kids when they come out of Foster care need a safe space to figure out their next steps in life
